Raise Money Playing Sports with the Conquer App

Schools across the nation are constantly fighting to keep up with the never-ending costs of supporting students and providing the necessary resources for their growth. The consequence? Funds are stretched thin, students lose access to critical learning tools, and suddenly teachers are forced to pay out of pocket for basic classroom necessities. However, there is a way to solve this problem, and provide support for schools who don’t have extensive funding.

Fundraise with the Conquer Sports App

The Conquer sports app provides schools with a simple way to bring the community together and raise much-needed funds for their successful operation. Hosting a game with the Conquer app is as simple as downloading the app, creating a game, setting your game details, and posting to your wide network of faculty and parents. This is an excellent way to utilize the underused gymnasiums and athletic spaces that go untouched most evenings during the school year.

How Do I Raise the Money?

With Conquer, you have the ability to post paid games, asking for as little as $1.00 to take part in any athletic endeavor of your choice. Whether you invite parents out to play pickleball, or bring together families for a basketball shootaround, this is a super easy way to create a strong sense of community and raise funds for a great cause. You can even host an event for free, and ask those who are willing to donate. This takes the pressure off and allows schools to receive support voluntarily.

When Can I Start Fundraising at My School?

Right away! Simply talk to one of your schools’ supervisors, tell them about the easy-to-use and incredibly accessible Conquer app, and start hosting your games. Your school already has a huge network of current and former parents who would be eager to support childrens’ success in the classroom, and paired with the opportunity to get active and engage with the community, you will be raising money in no time.

Here’s an Example from one of Conquer’s Co-founder Louis Long:

After 6pm, many of the outdoor sports facilities at elementary/middle schools go unused. These same schools have teachers dipping into their own pockets to make sure students have the school experience they deserve. Here’s a picture from our weekly futsal game (now twice per week) in the East Village. We charge an optional $6 to those who can spare it and we donate the proceeds locally. We haven’t raised a ton of money yet, but I think this model is scaleable. I’ve posted about using Conquer App as a side hustle, but I think it’s equally valuable as a fundraising tool. As the weather gets warmer, running pickup games as a fundraiser is super easy. We’ll give you the playbook!

Conquer is eager to help your school begin fundraising. Simply reach out through our website and we’ll happily walk you through the app and show you how to get things started.
